Frequently Asked Questions
What Ages Do You Accept?
Co-op Students may be between 4 and 8 OR Grades PK4 and 2nd Grade; Drop-in Students may be 4-12 years old.
Do you require children to be potty trained?
No, but we will be working on potty training if they aren’t already trained before enrollment.
Do children have to take a nap?
No. We do not take naps here but we do have cozy corners for kids to curl up with a book if they need a quiet moment.
Are you screen-free?
No. I am not entirely screen-free. Children are allowed to bring tablets from home to play with for 30 minutes during choice time but when that time is finished it must be put away in their backpack. We do also do movie days occasionally as well as watching educational videos from time to time. However, although we do use screens occasionally, children are given far more opportunities to learn, discover, and play than they are to look at screens. We also have a Yoto Player that the children are encouraged to use instead of looking at screens.
Do you provide care year round?
Yes, Children of Jubilee is open year round however Co-op is offered September-May (Labor Day-Memorial Day). I do close for a vacation twice a year. In the summer time, we host a themed weekly summer camp!
